The Yass Valley Community Development Association Inc. meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6pm.

What is a neighbourhood centre?

In “The Art of Frugal Hedonism,” the authors introduce the idea of “the third place,” which has several key characteristics: - affordable or free - easily accessible for many - inviting and comfortable - no obligation for occupants to stay- no focus on social economic status - a mix of familiar and new faces - a playful atmosphere where conversation thrives - a sense of being a home away from home.

Our goal for the Yass Valley Neighbourhood Centre is to serve as this community's “third place.”
